Ok folks you are on my site so I might as well tell you what's what starting out with a wee bit about me self. Let me first start by saying I am the second shyest person in the known universe. No, we don't know who the first is. Among my three favorite things in life are coffee, radios, and computers. Those who know me will tell you I drink quite a bit of coffee! But then I leave it to you to define quite a bit.

I have worked in commercial radio for a bit but I don't do that any more.  What will you see on this site? You will see a boat load of audio and news links. You may even be subjected to a rant or two on what I think about what's in the news. This took a while in coming but now I can start with that Click here for the column

Because The column page also gives me the ability to post by phone you can keep up with what I do while I am roving about the area.  here's the program you'll need to do that.  Here's something you'll not be surprised at,  I am not a big fan of typing, I tend to send my email as voice files with a neat little program called Handy Bits Voice Mail. This program is a neat trick because if it takes me 20 minutes to respond via voice to an email the file is quite small. I won't get into why but just grab the thing and see for your self! You won't even need special software to play the messages unless you are unfortunate enough to use a Mack. Try it you'll like it! Handy Bits

Now,for the audio.

Let's start with the broadcast links. First is the site I broadcast on ACB Radio Interactive! The station programmed by the blind for the world! In many ways, these folks will remind you of the way radio used to sound before that evil Cheep! Channel and its ilk bought up all the stations in the US.

ACB Radio Interactive!

You say you need a player to listen to the stream? Not a problem! Visit the tuner section on the ACB Radio main page. You will be able to find most of the currently popular players on this site: acbradio.org

I occasionally do fill in shows on ACBRI and other networks as well. I'll put them here Fill In.

Listen 24K

As a student of International News and Affairs, I find I distrust the BBC World service considerably less than I trust most of the so called main stream US outlets.

BBC news.com

I might also suggest BBC World Service.com The site is quite extensive and has a comprehensive audio archive of past programs and up-to-the-minute news coverage.

BBC World Service

While on the subject of the BBC, you can also listen to local BBC radio as well.

BBC local

What I am going to do now is list other sites which have audio streams and news in one form or another either as live streams or as on demand audio archives.

Arutz Sheva Israel National News

news radio

public radio fan.com

Radio Canada International

I don't know why I didn't put this one up sooner. One of the funniest guys in radio is Nino Grease Maneley AKA The Grease Man. He can do shock radio without being offensive and it's unfortunate that he doesn't have wider distribution but you can listen to him here!

Radio France International

As is the case with BBC local, a browser based player is used.

radio national

Radio Netherlands The Dutch International Service

RVI "Radio Vlaanderen Internationaal", Or, Flanders International Radio is a part of BRT Belgium and is the voice of the Flemish Community in Belgium

VOA News.com

World Radio Network

Glenn Hauser has been producing World Of Radio for quite some time. The program presents as comprehensive a look at what has been going on in the field of short wave broadcasting as it is possible to do in 30 minutes.

Do blind people play computer games?

The long awaited news page!
